Bone Grafting

Bone grafting is where the jawbone is built up to accommodate a dental implant or other restorative device. Bone grafting is a common procedure that is used frequently for dental implants, periodontal procedures and to avoid bone recession after an extraction. The bone used to graft can be synthetic, from an animal or actually from the patients themselves. The choice is usually made by the doctor doing the procedure based on what type will work best for each particular patient.
