With all the coffee, wine, smoking and other foods that have the ability to stain our teeth on a daily basis, even proper maintenance sometimes leaves them a little lackluster. Teeth whitening is an excellent way to restore the natural color of your teeth.
There are three ways we can help you with teeth whitening.
We have take home kits with disposable pre-made non-custom trays that you can take and use at home for a few days.
We can make custom fit trays for your mouth that you can use over a period of a few days to apply a concentrated gel more evenly. The trays can be used again in the future for touch ups. Many patients touch up after each period hygiene visit. This system is completed in 2 visits. An impression is taken at the first visit. At the second visit the trays and material will be given to you along with instructions on how to use they.
We can also bleach your teeth in office in one sitting. This usually is a 1 to 1 1/2 hour visit in the chair.
The resulting shade change can be anywhere from 2 to 8 shade difference; however a lot of factors do affect the results. If you have bright white teeth to start with you may not see a drastic change. Also the bleaching process does not change the color of caps, veneers or white fillings.
